The apartment's facilities are not as good as those of similar apartments we have stayed in.
The location was good for our requirements which is why we chose it. This may not be the case for everyone.
The day we arrived we contacted the owner to advise him that the freezer required defrosting, all the drawers were frozen in place and one was smashed to pieces. The owner said he was aware of this and would sort it out, he never came to the apartment. The kitchen only had two knives and forks plus three plates consequently most meals required these to be washed and dried between courses. There is an oven but no oven proof dishes etc. There are three sauce pans and a variety of lids, only one of which fits a pan. Four glass tumblers suitable for beer or water, we bought four wine glasses so that we could have a glass of wine in the evening (these we donated to the apartment). The television is a steaming service and is impossible to watch without joining the service. The apartment has one large single glaze window to provide natural light, unfortunately due to its age and multiple layers of paint the opening portions do not close properly and a constant draught is present, not good as some nights the external temperature was below zero degrees. The apartment has central heating but the room thermostat does not appear to have any effect. There is an electric fan heater without which it would have been impossible to heat the main room. The shower is extremely poor, even following the handwritten instructions regarding reducing the water pressure the water was rarely warm for more than a minute at a time at which point it would deliver really cold water. There is a ventilation fan for the bathroom but the control switch is above the door, if you are short it is not accessible. There does not appear to be a shaver outlet anywhere (at least I couldn't find one). There is a small rectangular coffee table where two of the four legs are not securely attached to the top. There is a large clock on one wall, this was not working. The apartment booklet advises there are board games for the use of residents, we didn't find any. A hair drier isn't provided.
