A poorly maintained property with serious hygiene and maintenance issues, combined with unacceptable communication an

We stayed at Ta Zeppi’s House in Gozo for 4 days as a group of 10, and unfortunately, the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Before arrival, we were informed to bring our own towels, which already set a basic standard expectation. However, upon arrival, the situation was far worse. Only one toilet roll per bathroom was provided for 10 people for a 4-day stay, which is completely inadequate. There was no hot water in the bathrooms throughout our stay. We reported this immediately, but the owner did not respond for two days. When he finally contacted us, it was not to resolve the issue properly but to ask us to open the property for a handyman while we were not present. He also stated he would enter the property without our consent, despite all our belongings being inside. When we refused access in our absence (which is a basic expectation of privacy), he responded by saying the issue would only be fixed after we leave. This is completely unacceptable. Additionally: * The air conditioning in the rooms did not work * Bed sheets were stained and some torn * One bathroom had water flooding issues * The kitchen was dirty upon arrival, and despite sending evidence, we received no response To make matters worse, there was a notice threatening a €40 charge if dishes were left unclean, yet no dishcloths or proper cleaning materials were provided. Overall, this property is poorly maintained, badly managed, and the level of communication and respect for guests is extremely low. We felt uncomfortable, ignored, and disrespected during our stay. I would strongly advise others to avoid this property unless these serious issues are addressed.

The pool was very large and enjoyable. We had a nice stay overall.

The accommodation could have been cleaner. It was difficult to figure out how to start the air conditioning – it works with coins inserted into an open container, which wasn’t explained anywhere. A manual or instructions would have been very helpful. Also, the bedding on the sofa bed could use an upgrade.
