Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin Airport East by IHG

Bedsheets/comforter were super comfy. Close to airport with a great shuttle. Clean. Great breakfast.

It’s next to a prison. We found out when we were outside the front door waiting for our uber and 5 cop cars pulled in quickly to the hotel’s parking lot and asked us if we’d seen a man in a yellow t-shirt. Lots of cops. Seemed very worried. Surrounded our hotel. Then, they caught him as our uber drove up and that’s when we found out there’s prison directly next to the hotel!!! Lots of barbed wire - OMG. Very worrisome. Plus, the prices were extremely elevated due to it being F1 weekend - and although the breakfast was incredible, bedsheets so comfy, great people working there . . . The prison so close was a dealbreaker.

not close to airport, need taxi but uber and lyft may refuse such short trip. call for shuttle in the middle of nowhere... no food around... just gas station

I loved my stay. It was comfortable, the staff was very nice and the breakfast good. I could have easily stayed another day .

It’s not easy to see from the road, easy to miss.

Hotel and staff are phenomenal! The staff were so kind and courteous! Parking is great, breakfast is great, no complaints

My only complaint isn't even fair, but it must be mentioned ro warn future travelers. The entrance is HORRID. It is behind a gas station, and impossible to get out of. The entrance is awkward and you will wait an extra 5 minutes just trying to get out. The traffic never clears bc it is where 71 ends at a stoplight. Trust me, turn right at the light and turn around and save yourself the stressing. FYI the hotel is backed up to a prison. We stayed for several days and there were zero issues.
