Everything - the history and how it was presented in writing, photos and art pieces.
Nothing. Having no wardrobes in the bedrooms was curious but suited the history of the property and added to its appeal

The breakfast was excellent as was the wine and biscuits ☺.
It is not that I did not like it, but we could not find a kitchen sponge so we wet a tea towel and used it as a sponge. I hope that was okay.
The shower did not require any cold water and being Queenslanders and not used to the cold, the night shower was fresh!

Loved being in the middle of the history of Penola. Cottage was styled beautifully. And luxurious with little extras. Loved the bathroom, surrounds and birdsong.
All lovely, but low furniture in lounge was tricky for old legs!
