One of the worst places I have ever stayed

It was a great location just as described. 5 minutes from the beach.

The place needs a lot of attention. The sofas were worn with cut on the arms, dingy and pillows with holes. A few towels were not clean. Lamp without a bulb, no TV in any of the 4 bedrooms. Trash near the parking area and on the side of the house. No central air in master bedroom (a portable one). The refrigerator had dents on both doors. Large cockroach on the floor. Entire house had a stale odor. We all slept in our clothes in too of the cover and left early after a few hours rest. I would never stay here again. Definitely not worth the $300 we paid for one night.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GETAWAY!!

We had planned a beautiful vacation getaway to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday, but instead, we were met with an extremely rundown duplex. The yard was overgrown with grass two to three feet tall, garbage was scattered around, and one of the doors—seemingly to a storage area—had fallen off. This created safety hazards, as two members of our group nearly tripped, and another injured their ankle on the broken concrete walkway before we even entered the house. Inside, we immediately noticed multiple doors missing—including from the master bedroom, another bedroom, and a bathroom linen closet. In the master bedroom, a poorly installed portable AC unit left gaps that allowed both heat and insects to enter. Exposed wires hung where a TV should have been, but no television was provided. The dining room fan was so filthy that turning it on caused dust to scatter everywhere. This room, too, had wires for a TV but no actual unit. In the living room, the only space with a TV, both the sofa and sofa bed were badly ripped, burned, and torn. The sofa bed had no sheets for my 7-year-old to sleep on. The kitchen was equally concerning: the ceiling fan was coated with thick dust, the refrigerator was dented as though it had been stabbed, and it still contained leftover food. The garbage can was broken, making it difficult for our children to use. In the spare bathroom, the linen closet was missing, the main door had to be forced open and shut, and black mold covered the ceiling above the showerhead. The picture frame was shattered and hanging loosely, while bugs—especially cockroaches and beetles—were crawling around, including in the shower. The second bedroom had insulation and tubing hanging out of the closet, with closet doors that wouldn’t stay closed. Again, there were TV wires but no TV, and the bed was broken—when we lifted the mattress, we found warped planks that made the bed sag so badly it felt like “sleeping in a taco.

Location can't be everything

Location was fantastic! Just over a block to the convention center or beach. We were able to easily walk to everything.
