Such a great position on the Fitties as it has so much green space around it. The light floods in in the morning and it’s so lovely to look out. We loved the wildlife and my daughter was ecstatic to see a fox cub followed by its mum stroll past at night! It is positioned fairly close to the entrance to the Fitties so it’s closer to walk to the Wetherspoons, shop or bus stop into Cleethorpes (all 5/10 mins walk away). Also, a few minutes from the beach where my daughter had a dip in the sea! We didn’t really cook as we had simple meals or meals/takeaways from Cleethorpes (they are used to delivering to the Fitties and it was the best Chicken Parma I’ve ever had). There’s no dining table (there is a coffee table) to eat on but we managed to eat off our laps. The lodge was spotless with immaculate bedding and towels. It feels very new and not like some of the characterful lodges in the Fitties. We love those too but it was a luxury to have modern appliances and a decent shower. I feel like this was the best of both worlds. We loved the hot tub, it was large and kept really nice. I was slightly worried about an outdoor camera facing some of the outdoor space. Nobody want to see me in the hot tub 😂 but it probably didn’t reach that far. I found the cover tricky to get back but with a bit of help managed it. It was the perfect temperature and a highlight of our trip, and we really enjoyed it when it was freezing cold outside, just bliss to get into. There was a hot tap outside which was perfect for removing sand off shoes when we returned from a walk along the beach. I’m keen to return with my husband next time to enjoy the lovely walks around the Fitties and take in the unique atmosphere of the place.

Read the small print as the property came with a £200 deposit as well as the booking.. but other than that hurdle it was amazing
