Great find. The host could not have been more helpful!

The friendly owner was there to great us and show us around. There was private parking on site with easy access in and out of the drive. All rooms were a good size and the location convenient for our needs. The owner recommended visiting nearby Chirk Aqueduct, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We were only staying one night but wouldn't have wanted to use the portable hob for any length of time. A jug or glass dish for the microwave would have been useful.

Everything was clean and cosy
There was nothing to dislike at all.

Location, near major towns we wanted to visit. Quiet neighbourhood. Good WiFi. Tom the owner was friendly and respectable man.
Since I retired from the university, I travel a lot and use booking.com in most of my travels. This house has great potential, but it definitely needs more care.
It seems the house was not cleaned from the previous occupiers.
The pillow cases of the extra pillows in the wardrobe were very dirty, they smelled and had human dribble on them. The sheets were dark grey so it was not easy to tell if they were washed.
There were dead flies and wasps on the window sills, under the table in the living room and inside the light shades.
The rug was dirty and we had to vacuum the whole house.
The bedroom carpet had serious burns and the wardrobe was broken from the side.
There was no hairdryer, and when asked for one, they did not offer one. Every property should have a hairdryer.
There was no stove.
