An absolute horrid experience.

Very little.

After reading the reviews from guests who had stayed at this property previously and achieving a rating of 8.8 I was confident we were going to experience a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Alarm bells started to ring when we were informed that we would have to collect the key for the apartment from a key holder. My wife who is Lithuanian and originates from Jonava called the key holder to collect the key. Trying to locate the key holders address was a frustrating and time consuming task, due to the key holding residing in one of many high rise buildings with limited signage and parking. After approximately 20 mins we finally made contact and were given the keys. We then made our way to locate the apartment in the dead of night, which was located at the opposite end of Jonava. On entering the apartment we were met with a strong smell of cigarettes. This was due to several cigarette stubs being thrown in a plastic container located next to the bedroom. Next to the cigarette stubs were several beer cans in a carrier bag, again thrown on the floor. It was obvious that no effort had been made to clean the apartment for our arrival. Unfortunately the smell of tobacco and alcohol were the least of our worries. What we experienced next was truly shocking! My wife started to make the sofa beds for our children and came across the provided duvet. The duvet had several blood stains on it along with a disgusting brown stain. It was covered in human hairs and absolutely stank to the high heavens. Even though it was late at night I messaged and called the owner of the appalling state of the apartment via WhatsApp and booking.com. The owner didn't answer the phone or reply to my messages, you are basically left high and dry should there be any issues or require assistance.

Okei
