A relaxing getaway at the “Green Volcano.” The Hotel Spatzennest has 18 beds and is located on the outskirts of Herbstein with a view of the countryside. The two bungalows, set in the beautiful garden, have been converted into four modern, comfortable apartments, some of which are wheelchair accessible. The main building houses two additional apartments. There’s also the cozy, converted barn—the “FreiRaum”—which can be used for meetings, conferences, seminars, or celebrations, as well as the guest lounge—all lovingly furnished. Stroll through the natural, flower-filled garden, discover impressive rock formations, try out the barefoot trail, or enjoy the peace and quiet and the chirping of birds on the lawn under the old trees. For cozy get-togethers, an outdoor swivel grill or the covered Finnish KOTA grill are available. Of course, you can securely store your e-bikes in the lockable bike garage or charge your electric cars. Explore the many biking and hiking trails right on your doorstep, enjoy the thermal waters of the Vulkantherme, unwind, and let your mind wander.

The former count’s forest lodge was extensively renovated in 2016 and lovingly furnished. The vacation rental is modern and bright. It features a sleeping area with a comfortable 140-series box-spring bed, separated from the living area by a curtain. The living area includes a 140-series sleeper sofa that can be pulled out as needed. It also features a kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator with a small 3-star freezer compartment, 2-burner stove, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle) and a small dining area. TV is received via satellite. Wi-Fi is free. The apartment also features a large bathroom with natural light and a floor-to-ceiling rainforest shower, as well as a spacious hallway. Directly across from the vacation apartment is the spacious guest lounge, which guests are welcome to use free of charge. Vacation Apartment F is located on the first floor of the main building in a quiet location on the outskirts of town with a great view over meadows and fields. Of course, the beautiful garden of the kleinHOTEL complex is also available to guests of the vacation apartment. A delicious breakfast can be booked as an add-on upon request.
