Traumhaft! Mit Abstand eine der besten Unterkünfte, die wir in den vergangenen Jahren hatten. Ein freistehendes, sehr geräumiges, super ausgestattetes und top gepflegtes Haus ganz für uns alleine - und das in einer landschaftlich sehr schönen und absolut ruhigen Lage (etwa 13 Autominuten von Kenmare entfernt).
Insgesamt vier Schlafzimmer mit acht Schlafplätzen (vier französische Doppelbetten); sehr große Wohnküche sowie ein weiterer großer Fernseh-/Wohnraum; vier Badezimmer (davon drei mit Dusche) mit WC, ein Nebenraum für Gepäck o.Ä. sowie ein zusätzlicher Raum mit Waschmaschine, Trockner und Schränken für Lebensmittel (Hinweis: in diesem Raum - neben der Küche - befinden sich auch die Zeitschaltuhren, mit denen die Heizung gesteuert wird -> ggf. also aktivieren).
Gemütliche Betten und Sitzgelegenheiten, ein großer Esstisch und eine perfekt ausgestattete Küche. Großer Garten mit Sitzmöbeln; Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus. Alles geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit super stabilem W-LAN.
Sehr nett war auch der Kontakt zum Host, der extra vorbei kam, um sich zu erkundigen, ob alles o.k. ist. 10 von 10!
Alles war perfekt - noch einmal Danke für wundervollen Tage, die wir hier verbringen durften!
Nur der Vollständigkeit halber: Leider wurden uns von Sykes Holiday Cottages zwei unterschiedliche Zugangsodes für den Schlüsselsafe genannt; wir hatten uns lediglich an deren aktuellster Mail orientiert und daher einen zuvor zugesandten Code (der der richtige gewesen wäre) nicht wahrgenommen. Mit einem Anruf bei deren Hotline ließ sich das zum Glück aber rasch klären. Es empfiehlt sich also, alle (auch frühere) Mails aufmerksam zu lesen...

The house was spotless. The beds were so comfortable. All the bathrooms were a bonus. Also a ground floor bedroom for 90yr old Mother.
The children had a great time playing in the garden, as it was very safe. The views are amazing. Could not fault it. We would definitely recommend & come back again.
The bonus, Chocoltier round the corner....Kenmare close as is Glengariff. Recommend Dereen house & gardens. Kenmare boat trip. Lovely walk at the end of Kenmare pier.
Just missing an ironing board...but we. managed fine.

La vue exceptionnelle sur la nature. Paysage magnifique.
Aucun vis-à-vis. Seuls les moutons pour voisins.
La superficie de la maison, avec ses 3 espaces « salon ».
Les 4 chambres (dont 2 avec salle d’eau et WC). Les 4 WC au total. Idéal pour une famille nombreuses ou des amis voyageant à plusieurs.
La cuisine équipée (micro-onde, vaisselle, frigo-congélateur) et l’arrière-cuisine.
La table et son parasol à l’extérieur.
Globalement, on voit que c’est une maison qui a jadis été habitée. Il y a tout le confort et les équipements pour y vivre.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour !
La plaque de cuisson vitro-céramique n’est pas très performante. Il manque de poêles (sur 3, seule la toute petite était convenable ; sur les 2 grandes l’une accroche et l’autre est inutilisable car trop ancienne).
C’est vraiment le seul point d’amélioration.
Il faut citer également l’absence de volets ou rideaux occultants la lumière a 100%, mais c’est le cas presque partout en Irlande.
