Very welcoming host, lovely river views out the window and comfortable room. A great base to use for exploring a less-busy but still magnificent and very accessible section of reconstructed wall, with a beautiful lake to boot. After taking the "magnetic tram" up to the wall, we had 90 minutes up there with nobody else around.
Relax Homestay is very easy to find - just stroll 80-100m down the street from the main carpark and you'll see its name and a prominent welcome sign down a short lane on the left. Breakfast was good, and we greatly appreciated the quick fried-rice meal we were given on arrival - saved us heading out again immediately, to one of the several restaurants within an easy stroll.
Hint: if you get a Didi out there, negotiate with the driver to come pick you up at the end of your stay - maybe 300-350 yuan - to lessen uncertainty, though local taxis and even a bus service do exist if you're not on a tight schedule.
Comms ahead of time were tricky/confusing at first - I was mainly trying to ensure we had the location exactly right, especially with Google Maps being unreliable in China. But having been there, I know we needn't have worried so long as we were dropped of at the main southern carpark. Doesn't hurt to ensure you have the host on WeChat ahead of time though - as with any place you stay.

Petite pension très simple, aux pieds de la Grande Muraille. Au coeur d’un tout petit village mais l’avantage est que vous pouvez visiter une partie de la Grande Muraille sans personne, aux calme. Les chambres sont très propres et bien décorées. Le petit déjeuner est très bien.

The employee of the hotel was very nice and helpful. He looked after us with a good care.
The swimming pool was empty (August 9th).
