A convenient place to stay in downtown Oslo

The location of this apartment is excellent. Close to the train station and tram stops. There are good restaurants close by. The windows were good at blocking the sound of the trams going by so it was reasonably quiet for a downtown unit. It was nice to come home to a bit of space after a day of touring around.

There was no cupboard space or shelves to put one’s clothes, so we were living out of our suitcases.

Open, airy and great central location. It was in the original post office in Oslo.

It was on the tram, which meant is was not as quiet as we would have liked. Some of the lights did not work and some of the furniture needed to be repaired.

Bad experience

This was a very disappointing experience, and I would never stay here again. The communication was poor from the beginning. I asked several times about the possibility of an early check-in and even offered to pay an extra fee. They told me it wasn’t possible, which I understood, as I know these things can happen. However, I was told they would get back to me as soon as possible, but they never did. When we arrived, we had to collect the key from a grocery store on the opposite side of the building, which meant walking there with all of our luggage before we could even enter the apartment. I accepted that and tried to stay positive, but things only got worse. The apartment looked completely different from the photos. Almost all of the furniture was different—the sofa, the bed, the dining table, and even the chair beside it. The only thing that looked similar was the layout of the room. It honestly felt as though the listing photos had been created using AI because they did not reflect the actual apartment at all. On top of that, the apartment was extremely hot. There were only two small fans provided, one of which was broken, and the other barely worked. Overall, it was a very poor experience. I wanted to cancel my stay, but the booking was non-refundable. In my opinion, the price was absolutely not worth it. I would have had a much better experience staying in a hotel. The constant noise from the tram early in the morning made it even worse, and there was no soundproofing at all. This is the worst place I have stayed, and I would not recommend it or stay here again.

The location of this apartment is excellent. Close to the train station and tram stops. There are good restaurants close by.
