Drag racing heaven, but apartment hell

It was a basic apartment. It had the bare minimum you would need, but nothing else.

This place is noisy. Don't believe the reviews saying that it isn't too bad. It's on an upper floor overlooking the main highway with an on-ramp directly in front of the bedroom. All night you will be kept awake by all manner of highway dweller - cars, trucks, buses, and emergency vehicles. On Sunday night around midnight, I had about an hour of hoon cars with led lights underneath stopping at the on-ramp gates and then taking off like a drag race, complete with backfires and screeching tyres. Very exciting and the window gave me a direct view on the action, it just didn't stop any of the sound. I unfortunately stayed for 4 nights. My technique was too much drink, staying up until very early mornings, and holding a pillow over my head. I felt like a living caricature. It didn't help me at work. Other than the constant traffic noise, just to spice it up, the neighbours like to argue with each other, apparently by opening the window and screaming out of it for what seems like hours. Probably only 20 minutes though, but each night. There's no toaster, no coffee mugs, and a bare minimum of utensils. Don't consider cooking. There are better options that are cheaper. Don't do this apartment to yourself.

Not recommended

Although the metro station is very far, there is a bus stop right around the corner. The neighborhood is nice, many places to eat

We chose this apartment even though is was rated below 8 because of location, however the metro station is far and there is a highway passing through so it is not possible to walk back from night life places. This is an old apartment which needs care of several things: there were not enough towels, the only mirror which in the shower stall is totally stained, not enough supports in bathroom where toiletries can be used, the bed is uncomfortable.

3 / 10

Bad value for money

It was expensive for the location, the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom Facilities were poor and there was the constant sound of traffic.

Fully equipped. Great location. Very clean

Not one thing

- Great location. 15 min walk into the centre and also lots of local restaurants. - Microwave oven for cooking was really helpful, there isn’t many breakfast options in the area.

- The mirror in the bathroom was stained and we couldn’t get the marks off so it was hard to get ready as it is the mirror. - A mattress protector is needed. - There’s a lack of storage/cupboards for your items.

Clean, nice views.

Lack of storage and shelving (the bathroom could have done with a shelf to store towels and toiletries).
