Very disappointing!

The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the fact that we were misled about receiving an invoice. Before booking, we were specifically offered the option of receiving an invoice, and we clearly stated that we required one. We were assured that it would be provided on 6 September. This was important to us because we were travelling for business, and it was one of the reasons we decided to book this accommodation. Unfortunately, the invoice never arrived, despite several further promises that it would be provided. There does not appear to be an actual host available to deal with such issues—only an AI chatbot. Although the chatbot is very polite, it is of little help when you have a real problem that requires action. As for the apartment itself, it is essentially a basement flat, which results in quite a lot of humidity. The shower arrangement in the bathroom is also very impractical, making it difficult to have a proper shower. Overall, the flat itself has some charm, but our experience was overshadowed by the extremely disappointing and misleading communication regarding the invoice. For us, this was particularly serious because this was a business trip and, without the required invoice, we have to cover the accommodation costs from our own salaries. This represents a considerable personal expense. Unfortunately, this was the worst value for money we have experienced.

Very rundown apartment.very old furniture .broken Bedroom wardrobe’s door We couldn’t use the wardrobe Dryer was stored in bedroom wardrobe .???!!! Bedroom chest of drawers was too old and stained inside drawers . Walls and doors needed paints Paint was came out of walls in both bedrooms A large whole in the wall of smaller bedroom . the photos was too misleading Radiator in TV room was broken and they used nylon strip to keep the panels in place

Very damp and poorly maintained property

Great location and private parking helpful. Seemed a safe area also. Great helpful instructions from host which included area info.

Strong damp smell, shower not working, mattress very uncomfortable with springs visible, dirty bed sheets, duvet and pillows stained, mould in ceiling badly painted over, broken bedroom cupboard door which was dangerous, no vents on windows and not safe to leave open as ground floor, stain on rug, no terrestrial TV channels. Most of the walls and doors are marked in some way. Some of these issues we experienced have been raised by other guests in past reviews, however sadly not been addressed.

Excellent location, great links for transport (although we picked for proximity to UofG for a Uninopen day specifically is also great for Ovo Hydro). Clean, well equipped property at a great rate by booking (or AirBNB) standards.

Nothing negative to report. Booking process was easy and hosts comms and instructions were top notch.
