Disappointing experience due to serious safety concerns, poor property conditions.
Location
Unfortunately, our experience with this property was very disappointing, and I would not recommend it.
From the moment we arrived, there were several issues that made us uncomfortable with the condition of the property. The most concerning issue was the balcony. We noticed what appeared to be structural problems, including visible cracking and wooden supports/reinforcements that did not give us confidence that the balcony was safe.
This was especially disturbing for us because we were traveling with our children. We did not feel comfortable allowing them near the balcony, and ultimately we did not feel comfortable staying at the property.
In addition, there was a strange and unpleasant smell inside the house, which added to the overall feeling that the property was not in the condition we expected based on the listing.
We contacted the host and explained our concerns. Rather than enjoying the vacation we had planned, we had to deal with the stress of finding another place to stay and leaving the property. Unfortunately, we were also unable to reach what we felt was a fair resolution regarding the first night's charge, despite the circumstances.
When you rent a vacation property, especially when traveling with children, you expect the property to feel safe, clean, and properly maintained. That was not our experience here.
Based on the condition we found the property in and the way the situation was handled afterward, I cannot recommend this property.
