Welcome to the Auerhof in beautiful Chiemgau—your home away from home! We look forward to welcoming you to our farm and ensuring you have a wonderful stay. Our apartment is characterized by its inviting, traditional atmosphere with rustic charm. From your balcony, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains or, if you prefer, of our farm. Every morning, you can pick up the bread rolls, milk, and eggs you ordered directly from the farm right outside your apartment door. The location of our accommodations are a paradise for nature lovers and active vacationers. Right outside our door lies the fascinating Chiemgau mountain landscape with countless hiking trails and well-maintained bike paths. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of nature. In just a few minutes by car or public transportation, you can reach nearby Aschau or the mountaineering village of Sachrang. There, you’ll find plenty of opportunities for winter sports as well as various shopping options. Our farm, which is home to dairy cows, chickens, goats, rabbits, and fish, also includes an alpine pasture on the nearby Spitzstein. Please note that dogs and other pets are unfortunately not permitted on our farm.
Our non-smoking “Juchhee” vacation apartment (35 square meters) for 2–3 people, located on the second floor of our farmhouse, features a balcony with a stunning mountain view. A combined living and sleeping area with a double bed (180x200 cm), flat-screen satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, a kitchenette, and a dining table—all comfortably furnished with wood floors and underfloor heating. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove/oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, and electric kettle. The bathroom features a shower/toilet and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linens are provided. On the loft, you’ll find an additional sleeping area with a queen-size bed (140x200 cm). The loft is accessible via a fold-up, steep staircase (!) and is only suitable for guests who are sure-footed. Two children may also stay overnight for an additional fee. Upon request, we can provide a crib and a high chair. You’re welcome to book breakfast on-site upon request. Pets are not allowed.
Our farm is located between Aschau im Chiemgau and the mountaineering village of Sachrang—two places brimming with nature experiences. Hohenaschau Castle towers above the valley, offering impressive views, and nearby, the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Palace delights visitors as a cultural highlight. Traditional Bavarian festivals give the region its special charm. Cities such as Munich, Salzburg, and Kufstein are easily accessible. Food lovers can look forward to hearty Bavarian fare as well as fine gourmet cuisine. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy year-round: In winter, family-friendly slopes in Sachrang and nearby ski resorts in Austria beckon; in summer, a variety of hiking trails, alpine pasture and mountain tours, as well as mountain bike and cycling routes, await discovery.
Guest rooms are also available at the Auerhof. You’re welcome to add breakfast to your reservation on-site. Please note that during the off-season, this is only available upon request and with prior reservation.
If you’re arriving by car, a free parking space is available right next to the house, and you can also enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the entire property.
