About this house rental
Detached, characterful cottage for 15 people in the Ain department, bordering the Saône and Rhône rivers. Private indoor pool, in a peaceful and elegant setting. Beautiful 1920s bourgeois house with an indoor pool, accommodating 15 people in its 6 upstairs bedrooms. This Art Deco house combines charm and comfort with a Roaring Twenties ambiance. Located in a residential neighborhood, the house features a private garden, parking, and secure access for peace and quiet. From the moment you step through the front steps, the scene is set, a dazzling display of vibrant colors. To the left of the entrance is the unique, heated, and secure indoor pool with its wooden deck; to the right is the exceptional reception hall with its stained-glass windows, fireplace, wooden staircase leading to the bedrooms, and magnificent crystal chandelier. From the hall, you have direct access to the large living room with its bay window, and the elegantly decorated dining room, equipped with a video projector. A corridor from the hall, to your left, leads to the kitchen with French doors opening onto the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped and functional, with an adjoining laundry room. There is also a separate WC. Upstairs are six distinctly themed bedrooms, each with its own shower room or bathroom and private toilet. A royal blue ambiance pervades the half-landing, which leads to the living room/bedroom with a sofa bed (sleeps 2, 140cm) and the Louise Brooks bedroom (two 90cm beds or one 180cm bed). A few steps higher, a corridor leads to four bedrooms: Josephine Baker (two 90cm beds or one 180cm bed) with a private terrace overlooking the Saône River; Coco Chanel (two 90cm beds or one 180cm bed) in shades of purple; Mistinguette (four 90cm beds, including two bunk beds); and Suzanne Lenglen (with a daybed and a pull-out bed, and one 90cm bed) in chocolate and green tones. Towels and bed linen are included, and there is gas heating. Nearby attractions include walking and cycling on the towpath along the Saône River, just 100 meters away, and the Château de Fléchère.
