Great Place to Stay in Szeged

Lovely apartment in Szeged. We were in Szeged for the night half marathon, and Ujszeged Apartment was just a 5’ walk from the start and finish in the park, so it was the perfect location :)

Apartment is very good.

Everything was good. Beds are super comfy, sleeping was like on clouds.

Friendly host, nice location but Extremely Disappointing and Unclean

To be fair, there were two definite positives to the stay: • Excellent Location: The apartment is situated in a good, convenient location in Szeged. • Friendly Host: The host was friendly and communicative, and genuinely offered assistance at any time.

This was, without a doubt, the dirtiest apartment we have ever stayed in during our 50+ trips to Szeged. We were a family of four (my wife and two kids), and the level of cleanliness was completely unacceptable. The issues went far beyond minor oversight: • Pervasive Dirt and Hair: The entire apartment was poorly cleaned. There were hairs everywhere—on the beds, scattered across the floors, and visible in the bathroom. The feeling of stepping into a place that hasn't been properly sanitized is very unsettling, especially with children. • Filthy Kitchen and Appliances: The kitchen was greasy and visibly dirty. The refrigerator was particularly shocking; it was extremely dirty with old, likely spilled food residue from previous guests throughout the shelves and drawers. Preparing food in this kitchen was out of the question. • Worn and Unclean Linens: The towels provided were old, worn out, and threadbare. Worse, several of them had old, set-in stains, making us hesitant to use them at all. While the scaffolding in the yard was understandable (and the workers weren't present during our stay), the lack of any lighting in the yard at night was also a minor inconvenience and safety concern. For the price paid, this apartment is absolutely not worth the money. The chronic lack of proper cleaning and maintenance completely overshadowed any other positive aspects. Given our extensive experience staying in Szeged, this apartment fails to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality.
