The apartment is in a good location, about a 2 km walk from the train station and roughly the same distance from Bari Vecchia. If you don’t fancy walking, there’s a bus stop just around the corner.
There’s a DOK supermarket on the next street, just 200 metres away, and a bakery right across the road if you want to pick up some fresh bread in the morning.
The apartment is a good option for two people. If you’re travelling with children or friends, bear in mind that the bed and sofa bed are in the same room, so you’ll all be sharing one space.
It’s great that the kitchen and bedroom are separate. The kitchen is quite spacious, with a decent-sized dining table and an extra armchair. It’s well equipped, too, so you can easily cook your own meals. The only things missing were wine glasses, and the chopping board could be replaced. There’s also a washing machine, but you’ll need to bring or buy your own detergent.
The Dolce Gusto coffee machine is a nice bonus, especially if you’re not used to making coffee in a moka pot. Just bear in mind that you’ll need to buy your own capsules if you want more than the ones provided.
The balcony overlooks the street and has a small table. We didn’t use it, but it would be a nice spot for breakfast in good weather.
There’s plenty of storage space, including shelves and a large wardrobe by the entrance, which is particularly handy for longer stays.
The bathroom is quite spacious and nicely done. The water heater is a little noisy, but I suppose that’s to be expected in an older building.
The host was easy to reach on WhatsApp, and the instructions for getting into the apartment were clear and straightforward.
