We had a wonderful 4 night stay here - the owners clearly take great pride in the property and their guests comfort . We will definitely return and highly recommend it to others. Good value too.
Everywhere is sparklingly clean and our room with a balcony overlooking the pool and small garden was very comfortable and serviced each day. We particularly appreciated the quiet air con, the insect screen at the door , the fridge and the tea making facilities .
Breakfast was excellent with a plentiful and varied buffet offering freshly home-baked delicacies and a further option of a full cooked breakfast. We enjoyed sitting by the pool to eat .
Our hosts were very helpful with storing our bags on our final
Day which was much appreciated .
When we first arrived at the property we were worried about the major roadworks which had closed the street (it looked like a new sewer was being installed) much of Nadur was either undergoing renovation or being dug up so the bus routes were a little tricky but by walking 5 mins to the central area by the Church it was simple and quick to call a BOLT taxi. We were not affected by construction noise at all . Yes! We could see building work from our balcony but once darkness fell it was a perfect haven of peace - give or take the odd donkey braying , which reminded us of home .
We were walking round the island on the coastal path over 3 days and found Casa Maria Pia an excellent base. We walked back to the property from Mgar harbour on the last day of the hike and also walked to both Ramla Bay ( good for sunbathing ) and Dahlet Qorrot bay - paradise and very good for swimming .
The only negative for us was that breakfast did not start until 08.30 which meant that we were not walking until 10am and we would have preferred an early start . However , the trail was never busy and the heat bearable, so by the third morning we had stopped pacing up and down awaiting our bacon and egg !
We overheard some other visitors grumbling about ‘passive aggressive’ signs in the property suggesting that suitcases were not bumped up the pristine marble staircase nor wet holidaymakers drip through the hotel from the pool .In my limited experience of having strangers to stay in MY house, ground rules need to be spelled out as not all folks respect other’s property and the owners pride in their establishment is wonderfully apparent . Will return.

The place is nice and modern...big rooms and towels smells really nice.

Prettige ruimtes om te verblijven. Er heerst een fijne rustige sfeer. Beide eigenaren zijn vriendelijk en verzorgen in de ochtend een uitgebreid ontbijt met dagelijks wisselend aanbod.
Locatie is dichtbij een supermarkt. Restaurants op loopafstand. Goede uitvalbasis voor uitstapjes naar de rest van het eiland. Bushalte dichtbij de locatie.
