About this cabin rental
Wake up to Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero outside your window, watching clouds clear from the Chalk Cliffs.
Tucked between Buena Vista and Salida, minutes from Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, Monarch Mountain, whitewater rafting, hiking, and small-town shops, yet far enough out for quiet, starry nights. Soak in the springs, ski or tube at Monarch, feed the trout down the road, or sink into the couch for movie night.
Well-kept, spotless, stocked for real cooking. Now with a Level 2 NACS EV charger on-site.
The Space
The main level features an open kitchen, dining, and living area, plus laundry, a full bath, and two bedrooms (both queens), one with its own en-suite bath: walk-in shower, and double sinks. Head upstairs to find a bedroom with two double beds, a loft with desk space, a TV, and room for games, a full bath, and the king bedroom with the best views in the house.
Guest Access
You've got the run of the whole cabin. Outside, there's plenty of parking and a big, natural yard. Just a heads up that the yard has native plants that can be a little poky, so we'd recommend sticking to the driveway if you're spending time outside. Please be mindful of the neighbors by staying close to the house and the driveway rather than wandering onto their property. We also share the land with local wildlife, so keep an eye out.
Two closets are reserved for the owners and cleaning team; everything else is yours.

The home was as described. We traveled to Buena Vista with three of our grandchildren, two under 6. Blackout curtains would be necessary and needed in all the bedrooms. The sun rises before 5:00 am and doesn’t get dark until after 9:00 pm in the summer. One of the downstairs bedroom definitely housed a pet that relieved themselves. Since there isn’t A/C in the home, as the temperature rises, so do the carpet smells. The children loved the new toys and had fun playing games that were in the closet. It was nice to have spices to choose from when cooking. The oven handle, right side, needs the screw to be tightened. It completely came apart when used to make dinner. The added nightlights around the home were a bonus for littles that still wake during the night. The shampoo and body wash provided in all the baths were a definite bonus!

This cabin was very well suited to our group. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well laid out and very well stocked with utensils. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were wonderful. The views of the collegiate were outstanding.

The hosts put up a Christmas tree for our stay over the holiday. That was very sweet.
