Quirky and cute
The property is really quirky with lots of old memorabilia scattered around. There is plenty of living space with 2 lounge areas and 2 dining areas as well as seating in the games room but layout for us meant it felt like there was some wasted space that was more used as a walk through rather than a room. The games room and bar area offer a great entertaining space. The upstairs bedrooms are a good size as is the family bathroom.
The beds were comfy and plenty of clean towels were provided along with little welcome pack touches of tea, coffee and biscuits. There are also some condiments in the kitchen for guest use which is handy. Despite being directly on a road and without double glazing we had no noise issues throughout our stay. The property was clean, bright and airy but with so many nik naks on show theres always going to be a bit of dust in places. The location is great for the coast and you can see the harbour out of the window, its just a short walk down to the beach or to access the coastal path and there are restaurants within a 5 minute walk ( highly recommended the little Italian in the arches on the top road).
The management company were readily accessible to answer any queries and got back to me quickly which is reassuring.
Overall an enjoyable experience staying in the old post office.
We were aware there is no parking at the property but did find parking difficult at times on the nearby streets so its just something to be aware of especially if anyone in the party has mobility issues ( this was out of season so feel it could be worse at peak times).
Talking of mobility the older people in our group did struggle with the stairs a bit - they are kind of like wooden spiral stairs with ropes to help pull you up. The second toilet is halfway up the stairs but as you step out of it its on to two different level steps so you just need to take care - there are lots of sensor lights placed up the stairs to help you see.
The bottom bedroom is very small and although it has a double bed in it it is a very small double bed and it leaves only a small gap down one side of the bed to exit, the other side being pushed up against the wall. There is an open shower cubicle in this room but we didn't really find it usable and would've preferred some storage instead.
It was disappointing that a few of the things were not working - the children were really looking forward to the gaming machine shown in the pictures but there is a note on it saying it no longer works which we would've liked to have known beforehand to prepare the kids - luckily the games table was in use to take their minds off it. Also the juke box had a note on it saying it was not working either.
I feel for a property of this size accommodating 8 people it would be beneficial to have a second bathroom to make stays more comfortable ( and there's certainly enough room in the property to think about adding one)
We still thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the old post office and would return but these few things stopped me being able to give full marks.

Central, quirky and home from home! Will be back 😊
Decor was lovely and quirky with a real homely feel. Bedding was lovely with really comfortable beds and Beth was so helpful with any questions we had. Location is perfect and easy to park even on the hot bank holiday weekend. Would definitely stay again!
Patio area could have been cleaner but we didn’t go out there as house was so lovely

Brilliant. Would stay again.
Clean and comfortable. Loved the games room for the kids. Comfortable mattress, with crisp sheets and good quality bedding. Location fab. Easy check in.
Parking tricky, but knew this before hand, and could have done with some oven gloves. The info about the bins was out of date. We worked it out in the end but some updates needed to this - no recycling box available and no shed as mentioned in instructions.
