The new, modernly furnished 75 m² ground-floor vacation apartment can accommodate up to 6 people: bedroom, children’s room, living room, kitchen-dining area, and a separate bathroom with shower and toilet. 



Mureck is an oasis of relaxation. A vacation here becomes an experience for all the senses; nature lovers—and others—are captivated by the natural gem that is the nearly untouched Mur floodplains, with their rich flora and fauna.
A highlight is the Mureck watermill with the Mühlenhof—enjoy this idyll through our private access to the Mur promenade.
The unique charm of the old town, the idyllic landscape, and the regional, seasonal cuisine—which the host can also prepare for you in the house upon request—along with the wide range of recreational, cycling, and cultural activities, make the town of Mureck the ideal vacation destination for the whole family.
Our house on the Mur is located directly on the Mühlbach, the Mur River, and the floodplain forest.
The first floor features a newly and modernly furnished vacation apartment (75 m²) that accommodates up to 5 people: living room, children’s room, bedroom, and a cozy kitchen-dining area with a tabletop stove, as well as a large bathroom with a shower and washing machine. The toilet is separate.
In the attic, there is a second vacation apartment (73 m²) furnished in a modern yet nostalgic style, featuring a living room with an open kitchen and dining area, a spacious bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, a washing machine, and a large southwest-facing balcony with a view of the Mur floodplains and Obermureck Castle, accommodating 4 people. The apartments are equipped with a DVD player and an extensive collection of CDs and DVDs. Upon request, we also offer a bread roll delivery service from the Slovenian Mura Bakery for our guests.
Upon request, we provide an additional, quiet room—located near the Mühlbach stream, the Mur River, and the floodplain forest—free of charge.
Four bicycles, including helmets, are available free of charge for exploring the surrounding area. Additionally, cribs and high chairs are available.
The Mur R2 bike path runs right past our 3,000-square-meter property. The entire property is fenced in, making it ideal for pets to roam freely. Ducks, gray geese, and chickens are welcome permanent guests here.
The large garden with green space offers a place to spend cozy hours under the vine arbor enjoying a traditional Bavarian snack platter. Spend relaxing hours on our covered Mühlbach terrace, which features a grill and refrigeration for drinks, etc. Upon request, we can also arrange waffle-making for children. The guest apartment in the basement houses a large library of historical and popular history books.
We also have recreational games, a children’s fishing rod, badminton, and soccer. Additionally, there is a kayak for exploring the Mühlbach and the Mur rivers. The covered Mühlbach terrace features a collection of games and coloring books for rainy days. The nearby Bacher Mountains and the Windische Bühel in the former Lower Styria region are ideal for hiking and, in winter, skiing. An extensive selection of brochures and literature for exploring the surrounding area is available. The Mureck watermill can be reached directly from our location via the Mur Promenade in about a 15-minute walk.
