Ok Apartment, Terrible host

At least the location is good, there are nice bakeries and supermarkets in the area

The apartment is listed as having 2 bathrooms. This is inaccurate. It has 1 toilet and one shower/sink room. We were surprised to see this when we arrived and reached out to the host, who blamed it on an error on Booking.com's behalf, and refused to do any accommodations or compensation. We had to find another place for half of our party. The apartment itself is ok, the host is terrible though.

Disappointing stay – locked out, unclean apartment, poor service

We had an incredibly disappointing experience at this property and would not recommend it. We arrived just after midnight (as pre-communicated to the host well in advance) and were locked out for hours due to the door failing to open, despite following the check-in instructions. The lockbox location was also incorrectly described as being “downstairs” when in reality it was up four flights of stairs, adding to the confusion at such a late hour. We attempted to contact the host repeatedly by phone and message during this time and received no response until 10:30 a.m. the next morning — only after we had submitted a complaint. When we eventually gained access (with the help of a stranger and an object purchased from a nearby store), the apartment was not clean or as described. There was a strong sewage smell from the bathroom, visible mould in the shower, stains on the walls and sofa, and a rock-hard mattress. The Wi-Fi also did not work properly. We reported all of this and were met with dismissive and unprofessional conduct over the phone — including being laughed at and told “you’re cutting out” during a clearly audible conversation. While the host later offered to send someone to the apartment, we had already lost a large portion of our first full day dealing with these issues and did not feel comfortable leaving our belongings in the apartment unattended with the key in a lockbox. These are problems that should have been identified and resolved before our arrival — not passed on to the guests to manage during their holiday. We’ve stayed at many properties through Booking.com and unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences. Lack of access, hygiene issues, and dismissive communication from the host made for a very stressful and disappointing stay in what should have been a relaxing trip.
