The property was absolutely beautiful, the gardens were stunning and so well kept. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was neat and tidy and very comfortable and lovely. We have a very enjoyable stay.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Gorgeous gardens and window seat. But ... We rang and asked for more firewood for the second night and were told no - we will not provide anymore - you have to buy wood. We were in a tiny village far removed from anywhere. There was firewood in a cage behind the garage on the property - which I had accessed on the first day to get enough wood for night 1. All the heat went straight upstairs up the stairs! The house was very very cold. And we couldn't help to wonder if there was a damp issue. Or it has been vacant for a long time. It is a very damp location - extremely beautiful garden - but the aircon was not enough and to be told no extra firewood now that we are in October - that is just a tad very very poor. And when we rang the out of hours number we were told this is a number for emergencies - again - on a Saturday - of the most common occupancy time - was very poor service.

It was very quiet and clean and stylish, had everything we needed and was a beautiful setting.

The drains smelt very bad during the stay.

Picturesque cottage and gardens

A second bathroom would have been great but not that big a deal
