Terrible experience and complete lack of responsibility and customer service from Betariel.

During our stay in Vienna, we experienced an extremely distressing situation: a person tragically died after falling from a window into the building’s shared courtyard. Police and emergency services had to intervene during the night, entering through one of our apartments, stepping on the beds and requesting identification. Some members of our group were also forced to leave the building and were not allowed back inside until 5 a.m. We fully understand that this tragic incident was beyond the accommodation provider’s control. What we find completely unacceptable is Betariel’s total lack of communication and support afterwards. Following the incident, we contacted the company to explain what had happened and request a solution or compensation, but we never received a response. Even Booking.com confirmed that they had been unable to contact the property. We paid €260 for two nights in two apartments, and so far, the only money returned has been our €100 security deposit, which was supposed to be refundable anyway. Betariel has completely ignored our complaint, offering no explanation, assistance, alternative solution or compensation. Due to this complete lack of response, we intend to file a formal complaint with the relevant consumer protection authorities. Unexpected and tragic events can happen anywhere, but the way a company treats its guests afterwards says a lot about its professionalism. We strongly advise against booking with Betariel due to their extremely poor management, lack of communication and complete disregard for their guests.

Scam! Fraud!

Nothing

It's a scam. You pay the accommodation then they try to take money from your account multiple times. I stop the transaction and never get the check in steps. I contact booking for help. Do not book this online your money will be stolen from your account!!!

Dirty and felt unsafe

The location was ok, it's right next to a grocery store and to a subway station.

First of all, it was incredibly dirty. I suppose the bathrooms were clean enough but the floors were filthy, and so we're the walls. The mattress cover was literally stuck to the bed. The shower head was held together with yellow electrical tape for some reason, and the shower itself leaked. I was asked to check in early so I could request something since there's nothing there (no toilet paper, soap, dishes, glasses) - I asked for two towels and never got them. The microwave was there but the spinning plate wasn't so it was unusable. Mostly, it didn't feel safe. You get one code for the building and one for the apartment, except you don't need a code to get in the building, anyone can get in. The code for the apartment is put into the electronic handle, but there's no way to lock yourself inside. Some drunk people tried to get in the first night, fortunately they left but if someone had had the code they'd have been able to just waltz in. Also: there is NO elevator, and no smoke alarms. The pillows are pitiful. It was honestly a disgusting experience and while it was extremely cheap, to be honest a hostel would have been better. What you lose in privacy you gain in cleanliness and facilities. Will never go back.

To mi nebylo doručeno. Doporučuji přivézt si vlastní. Vypadávající klika z koupelnových dveří k takovému ubytování asi patří.
