Living in the heart of Sarajevo

Location and the host

Everything is great

The host was very helpful and attentive. Our flight was delayed upon arrival, but we did not experience any issues with check-in. The stairs may be something to consider for elderly guests or those with health issues, but it was not a problem for us. Other than that, the apartment had everything we needed. There is also a bidet spray available, which was not visible in the photos.

Very disappointing stay

The location was the only good thing.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this apartment was honestly a disaster from the moment we arrived. The place was filthy. Sticky stains on the floor, a nightstand covered in dust and grime, and mirrors and walls so dirty they clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. I had to start cleaning just to feel somewhat comfortable being there. The pillow in the living room was ripped and the bedding in the bedroom was also ripped, the radiator in the bedroom didn’t work, and the shower head holder was literally hanging off the wall. The entire apartment reeked of cigarette smoke, which made it hard to stay inside for long. To make matters worse, there was no trash can in the bathroom, and the power outlet next to the mirror didn’t work, only the one above the washing machine had power, which was super inconvenient. And there was no wardrobe or space to put your clothes anywhere, so everything had to stay in the suitcase the whole time. And as if that wasn’t enough, it’s on the 4th floor of an old building with no elevator, so dragging heavy luggage up all those stairs just to find this mess was the final straw. This place is nothing like the photos or description. It felt neglected, unhygienic, and completely unwelcoming. I wish I could attach more than 4 pictures, I took photos of everything. Save yourself the frustration, do not book this apartment :)

Not bad.

It was nice and clean

It was a bit hard because there is no private parking. We payed 20€ for one night at Jadranka Parking.

The host was very helpful and was always reachable. There was everything we needed in the apartment and we had no issues. The apartment was exactly in the center 10 minutes walk to the old town. We where there during the World Cup and there was a big screen just underneath the apartment. There where several supermarkets close in the area same as restaurants and cafes. We didn’t have noise issues in the apartment either. Very nice place and nice host.
