Amazing location in the 4th Arr.! While the steps up are a little wonky, the place itself is pretty great for being right in the heart of Paris. We are so close to the Seine and so many amazing places. We are and to drop our luggage off early then head across the intersection for an amazing lunch at Vins des Pyrénées. There are tons of options nearby for boulangerie (we loved Miss Manon), fruit markets, vin shops, and small grocery stores. The upper loft looks down over the sofa beds, so there's not a ton of privacy, but it was fine for a few nights for 6 of us. The kitchen was a decent size too. The only thing that would be nice is if there was more than one set of keys or a lockbox - it made it hard to split up because only one person could only ever get in.

I want to start out by saying that the location of this apartment is great! The apartment itself is full of character and excellent for a family of three adults and one older teenager. Be aware of the stairs up to this apartment are spiral steep.While I recognize the owners did try to address the problem after a heat wave, our disappointment lies with the lack of air-conditioning in the bedroom upstairs. We were not told ahead of time, something that I would have expected to be a priority for a Vrbo owner. We believe we paid a premium for air-conditioning and separate rooms, which was not delivered. One adult had to sleep in the main part of the apartment instead of a private room. The fans left for us were needed to better circulate the air in the loft. The upstairs bedroom was, for lack of a better explanation, an oven. Next, part of the floor in the loft bedroom had been ripped up (I assume for the attempted fix of the air-conditioning), however, it was not put back or covered in any way and was a hazard. Also, an entire wall of outlets and lights were not functioning. Both the owners and the woman tasked with giving us the keys were courteous. However, the woman was late, mostly due to having multiple renters arrive at the same time.If air-conditioning is a priority for you, then you may wish to check in ahead of time to ensure that it is functioning. Despite the location and the interesting space, we would have been better off spending less money elsewhere.
