Holiday from hell.

The location was good and it was reasonably clean. On entering the property you could see faults throughout. Water damage to the kitchen units, filthy corner cupboard. Very dim lighting. Old and torn dirty carpets throughout. Damp patches in every room of the property. The most uncomfortable furniture possible, cheap 2nd hand everything curtains, sofa, chair and cushions. The kitchen table and chairs 2nd hand. 7 forks dessert spoons 2 dinner knives, 2 teaspoons, 1 bent kitchen knife, 1 spatula 2 serving spoons 2 wooden spoons. Pans were ok. Electric toaster was filthy, kettle ok. No ovenware at all. No can opener. No water pressure upstairs at all, meaning no hot water, 2 showers that didn't work, 1 toilet didn't flush. Nowhere to hang towels to dry. Central heating wasn't working either. Even after reporting the faults the maintenance team were unable to fix either the showers or the toilets. One bathroom was made unusable and the other one was left as the shower was too dangerous to use, either being scolded or frozen to death. So we couldn't shower properly for the whole of our stay. There was no one at the local office at anytime during our stay to speak to and get answers from. The people we did have contact with did their best but could not resolve any of the issues to make our stay a pleasant one. The only good points were, the location, the general cleanliness and the free parking. Everything else was a shambles and we should have our money refunded or the offer of a free stay for the same duration in a properly functioning property/accommodation at a time convenient to ourselves. The fact that no member of the management team got in touch with us over the 3 days/nights we stayed is very disappointing indeed.
