The house was extremely dirty. The doors were dirty and old, the kitchen was filthy and had a bad smell. The bed sheets were not clean and appeared to have been used before. The towels smelled very bad. I do not recommend renting this house at all, even if it were free. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a house.

Basic.

Located in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood close to the highway and a 20-minute walk to the Altstadt, with good public transit connections. Shops for food etc. are within a 10-minute walk. The beds were comfortable and the linens clean; we slept well. Instructions were sent in a timely manner. Neighbours were quiet. We were able to check in a bit early; the key was relatively easy to find. If you're primarily looking for a place to sleep, shower, and make coffee while spending most of your time in the city, it's an uncomplicated, hassle-free, relatively clean and safe option...

...but don't expect more than that. Other than the beds, furnishings are sparse and wobbly and there's no real comfortable place to sit. Kitchen equipment is minimal. Some surfaces were freshly cleaned; others clearly haven't been touched in years. The bathroom is dark and dingy (the photo is very misleading -- it's nearly unlit), although the fixtures work fine. There is no "on site" parking; you have to find a spot in the street, although it is free. The WLAN (wifi) did not work at all; devices connect to the router just fine but there was no connection to the internet (apparently a cabling problem, see photo). After checkout, received a message from the property manager saying that he had given us a 5-star review (impossible, hosts don't rate guests on Booking.com), so could we help him out with a 5-star review? Cheeky! I will give the property a 5, but that's out of 10.

Person muss also im Stehen essen.
