The proprietor Leo has created a really lovely entry level hotel. The bed was superbly comfortable, the shower was spacious with great water pressure. Cleanliness equalled the most expensive hotels. The cooked to order breakfast was as good as it gets.
However the best bit was the really happy and friendly staff. It has a family feel to it.
Finally, where Fides beats 5 star hotels hands down - you don’t need to call housekeeping for extra wardrobe hangers on unpacking!!!
Accepting it is an entry level boutique hotel without a pool, frankly nothing. Great value for money

Absolutely spotless, the cleanest hotel we stayed in during our whole trip in Laos. The hotel is extremely peaceful and relaxing, and the staff is so kind and hospitable. They have excellent customer service. They also have delicious breakfast, with a bunch of options. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and if I ever return, this is 1000% where I will stay again! Phenomenal!
Maybe just need more mirrors/hangers in the room, but really not a big deal.

Pat (hotel manager) helped me out big time with a late pickup/chase up of a local guide. He didn’t have do that, but it was much appreciated!
Old word charm and fantastic breakfasts!!!!
