Terrible experience: Misleading photos, lack of privacy, and unprofessional management
The location was the only acceptable aspect of this stay.
Condition of the property:
The photos do not reflect the reality of the apartment. The place is extremely run-down and poorly maintained. Multiple door handles were falling off, and there was still painter's tape left on the electrical sockets. We also discovered bugs, including cockroaches, in one of the apartments.
Equipment & Cleanliness:
The stove was not working upon arrival (gas empty), and one burner is completely broken. There is no dishwasher, and the provided kitchenware was dirty and incomplete (only 5 plates/knives for 6 people). There was only one roll of toilet paper provided for the entire group.
Privacy:
The host repeatedly entered our apartment unannounced, which was a major violation of our privacy.
Bathroom:
The lighting in the bathroom flickers constantly and is very dim. The shower drain is clogged, and the water boiler barely produces any warm water.
Sleeping arrangements:
The mattresses in the bedrooms had visible, unhygienic yellow stains. The couch provided for additional sleeping space was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Unclear Communication & Management:
The communication regarding the rules was confusing and unprofessional. We were only told to read the rules ourselves instead of being given a proper introduction. Furthermore, the check-in process was highly unprofessional; we were brought to the property by a booking agent, but the landlord handled the money directly. It felt like an unofficial subletting situation, creating a lot of confusion and lack of accountability regarding our stay.
