The location is fantastic. You can see Fuji from the roof. Nice waterfall is very close. You can walk to huge temple. You can feel old Japan in that place. I loved it.
You need to use taxi to get to the hotel. Walk to/from bus (proposed by Google) was not very walkable.
What you have inside is not the modern hotel. My wife was not very happy about it (unlike me!).

Breakfast was DELICIOUS! Home-cooked, authentic Chinese fusion food every morning with fresh fuji-san iced water. It was like eating at your grandparents house every day. The staff is incredible: friendly, helpful...they went way out of their way to help us and make sure our stay was wonderful. The environment is humble but clean. I felt extremely comfortable and welcome the whole time. I highly recommend this place to both pilgrims to Taisekiji (us) and people seeking to climb Mt. Fuji. Also please enjoy dinner at the restaurant downstairs. It is really fantastic! The value of this place is incredible.
