The number of towns and villages to visit is too long to list; here we are in the heart of central Istria, one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is also famous for local Teran and Malvazija grapes, olive oil, homemade cheese, prosciutto, grilled meat and of course truffles, which you can taste in restaurants in the many villages and towns in the region. There are numerous hiking and cycling trails, one of the most beautiful of which is the historic Parenzana - old railroad line, where you can even experience the unique ride on the tourist train along the historic route. Horseback riding, a few rounds of golf or simply enjoying the thermal waters of the nearby spa add to this long list of activities. The main coastal towns of Umag, Novigrad and Porec are easily accessible due to excellent road connections and offer very extensive leisure facilities, good nightlife, bars and restaurants.
