The luxurious Schneewinkl vacation apartment, which was only completed at the end of 2022 in the completely renovated former Blaserwirt inn, is the perfect base for a vacation in the Chiemgau Alps. Cross-country ski trails and hiking trails are right nearby. The ski bus stops right outside the apartment, taking guests to the Seegatterl valley station of the Winklmoosalm–Steinplatte ski area. The village center, with its many restaurants and shopping options, is about 1.3 km away, though the nearest restaurant is just 200 meters away. In the summer, when the weather is nice, you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace in the glorious morning sun or read a book on a lounge chair in the garden. With a free crib, children’s dishes and cutlery, a play mat, toys, puzzles, and a sled, the apartment is also perfectly equipped for families with small children. Two free parking spaces are available. The apartment, which sleeps up to six people and features three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, two bathrooms, and a garden, is fully equipped with smart technology. It combines the charm of an older building with high-quality, modern amenities.

Reit im Winkl, a climatic health resort According to Wikipedia, the designation “climatic health resort” is awarded to “locations whose air and climate, according to an expert assessment, possess qualities that are beneficial for relaxation and health.” Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and has consistently met the criteria for this designation ever since through its ongoing efforts. One key factor is its elevation, which ensures that summer heat is moderate and nights remain pleasantly cool. The town is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and, in terms of its general climate, belongs to the “Bavarian Alps” climate region. The character of the weather is decisively determined by the local conditions—that is, by the influence of the mountain ranges and valley incisions on weather patterns. In addition to the natural conditions for good air quality, we actively work to preserve the fresh mountain air by utilizing natural heat and providing ample bus service.
We are a family with two children, ages 4 and 6, and we ourselves enjoy spending our vacations at the Schneewinkl vacation rental.
