The Vurpillat Beachfront Hotel

Great location , everything within walking distance . Parking was a challenge but Jay made it possible . Kudos to him and his staff . The room was perfect , love the vintage style . A lot history in this place and it’s nice to see the owner preserving the history . The only downfall we experienced was the noise right outside our window ( we did have a room that was literally on the strand and were told Of the noise traffic from people walking by ) with this place being a hotel and residential place , the long term residents like to sit out front on the strand and socialize . There should be a time Restriction to do so . We experienced they like To hang out till 1-2 in the am , we can appreciate people on vacation having a good time. We can also appreciate people wanting to relax and get some sleep while on vacation . Other than crew outside of our window ( who by the way were very nice people and sociable , love the doggy happy hour as well ) we will definitely be back .

We enjoyed our stay at the Vurpillat Beachfront Hotel! The location is perfect if you want to spend the day at the beach and/or bar hoping…you are literally a few step away from both. The staff is SUPER friendly and made us feel right at home. My family and I are looking forward to returning next summer!

Awesome crew from upgrading our room to holding our luggage so we could still enjoy our time at Hermosa beach til we had to leave. The guest that live there are the best. Everyone was very welcoming. They have dog happy hour. Omg it's the cutest. All the dogs know about it too! If you stay here say hi to Jay the owner, Logan the receptionist, David, Ronnie and Stephanie which are locals that live there. We all had an amazing time.

This place is all about location. You are in the middle of it all. It’s an older place and a work in progress. If you’re used to high end hotels or Marriotts, this isn’t your spot. You are literally on the beach. They are painting and making upgrades. Owner went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. We had a studio. The room size was ok, but the shower was the smallest I’ve showered in. Not for larger people. Would stay again.
