There’s a reason for such a cheap price

The room was nice and had everything necessary. It was in a very good location with everything close by. Good only for going to sleep at night.

It was not very safe for little toddlers. The windows were not able to get locked and easy for the kid to go and fall from them. Problem with the bathroom sink, it was clocked and also leaking.

Stay away. Dirtiest apartment we have ever stayed.

Not in a bad location

Where to start. I have never stayed anywhere so dirty. We visited Nicosia to see family and attend a baptism, we flew into paphos and after stopping for something to eat made our way to Nicosia. Upon arriving at the apartment the owner met us, on entry into the apartment I noticed that it was in need of renovation but I’m not living there so not my problem. We left our bags and went straight out to see family. On arrival back into the apartment it was around midnight, it was the coldest nights in Cyprus for years we were advised the air con could be used for heat and a tiny plug in heater, we didn’t feel comfortable using the heater whilst sleeping. I mentioned to my wife that it smelt damp we were exhausted so got into bed. The sheets smelt old and damp so we decided to sleep in full pants and hoodie. Our nights sleep was none existent the pillows must have been 20 years old or filled with bricks? We had the aircon on for heat but my wife started having trouble breathing and her eyes started swelling she woke me up, she has a severe dust allergy so we knew that it had been aggravated there was nothing we could do so early in the morning so she took her medicine we turned the air con off and tried to get some sleep. We woke up around 7am and that’s when started realizing how vile the apartment was. Dust everywhere, pubic hair in the bathroom, the aircon was FULL of dust on the filter, black mold on the bedroom and living room blinds. I dropped some water on the sheets and when it dried it dried brown this is dirt. This was the day of the baptism so we had to get ready we also knew we couldn’t stay for one more day. My wife contacted booking.com to advise the conditions and we booked another apartment which was perfect, modern and most important clean. We requested the 2 nights that we didn’t stay as a refund, the owner has refused as he believes we are trying to blackmail him? Pictures don’t lie. His argument is also that we advised eta 6-7 and arrived at 8.30.
