Barile is a small village with Albanian roots that preserves its language, culture, and traditions. While there, you can enjoy a large pub, a restaurant, and a pizzeria. Just outside Barile are some magnificent architectural landmarks: the castles of Frederick II of Swabia, Melfi, and Castel Lagopesole—all open to visitors and renowned for their beauty. Barile lies at the foot of Mount Vulture, an ancient volcano that has been dormant for over 2,000 years; within the crater mouths are two lakes set in a pristine and unique natural landscape. These are all places worth visiting, and there’s much more to explore. Barile is a small town with Albanian roots, preserving its language, culture, and traditions.
