About this house rental
Come for a peaceful stay at the foot of the mountain, 54 miles from Penn State football, 12 miles from skiing. This lovely three bedroom house sleeps 6. The master bedroom adjoins the full bath, which can also be accessed from the hallway. The other two bedrooms offer a full-size bed and bunkbeds, great for family or friends. Bed, bath and kitchen linens are provided. This home includes fully equipped kitchen, with dining room and living area with Wi-Fi and TV with ROKU, to log in to all your subscription services. The carpeted downstairs family room provides a nice space to play games and relax with friends and family. A deck off the back of the house offers lovely views of the mountain, where you can hear the quiet rippling of the nearby stream and see deer and other wildlife pass through. A moveable fire ring makes the back yard a lovely place to sit and enjoy a starry night by the fire or a fun day playing games in the large yard. The attached garage lets you park and easily unpack for your stay. The full size washer and dryer are a great addition for cleaning up after a day of adventure or a week of relaxation. This house is nearly 2000sq/ft of living space and is situated on a large .70 acte lot. This is a clean smoke free and pet free property.
This property sits quietly along the mountain but is conveniently located near many wonderful activities. In approximately 30 minutes or less you can visit Bedford Springs Resort, Old Bedford Village, and Historic downtown Bedford. Have some fun at DelGrosso's Park & Laguna Splash, The PA Railroaders Museum, and Lakemont Park and Casino. For those who love the outdoors and adventure Blue Knob Resort and State Park is only 12 miles from this property where you can enjoy your time skiing, tubing, hiking, fishing and spending time outdoors year-round. If you are a sports fan you can take in an Altoona Curve baseball game. It is also less than an hour away from Penn State and Beaver Stadium, making it a great place to stay before or after a game.

Very nice and clean home. Amy and Chris provided great communication and also accommodated us last minute to arrive a day early. Quiet rural area and beautiful land. Sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels provided. Also well stocked with paper products, cleaning supplies and kitchen plates, cups, silverware, etc. We enjoyed our weekend seeing the Big Boy Steam engine at Horseshoe Curve and took in a couple Altoona Curve baseball games. Very nice stay.
