Spacious, clean room, friendly staff, and free tea and coffee all day. They also stored our luggage free of charge while we were exploring Isabela, and the logistics worked smoothly.
A dog barked throughout the night on three out of four nights. The hostel thankfully provids free earplugs.
During our first stay, we found a cockroach in the bathroom.
The breakfast was very basic, consisting only of toast, eggs, fruit, crunchy cereal, milk and fruit juice and something like pancakes. There was no butter, jam, cheese or any other spread. For the price, we expected a better breakfast.
Despite the total cost of our stay being around USD 560, they insisted on cash payment and wanted to charge a 5% surcharge for card payments. Most restaurants and shops in Puerto Ayora don’t charge this. When we criticised this policy, the staff member reacted as if we had personally offended him, although we were simply criticising the payment system. This was particularly disappointing.

Really cute rooms. The upstairs rooftop is a wonderful spot to view the water, enjoy breakfast, and they also have an honor system for beverages available that’s nice. Staff was friendly! It was a great stay.
If you are a light sleeper you should consider a different area- Santa Cruz is small enough that even a few more blocks makes a difference in noise levels at night. We used ear plugs and are heavy sleepers so it didn’t bother us but others should consider. The WiFi was a little weak and we would’ve loved a few extra vegan options for breakfast.

Very nice rooms and good location. The staff is veeeery nice, they really tried to help us with miscommunication in the price with booking and extra cost. The breakfast also very nice, the girls cook fresh in the morning.
Still too expensive in my opinion
