Find something more Bordeaux-y... 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Loved the location...

This place ticked almost ALL of the wrong boxes: ~ They used a lockbox… and I hate lockboxes. They give me anxiety that either I won’t be able to get in, or they’ll break while I’m fumbling with the code… or the little black switch inside. ~ The walls were plain white… not exactly a dealbreaker… except white shows wear & tear more than any other colour. And these walls? Filthy. Manky, actually. ~ Zero colour, zero artwork, zero personal touch. ~ There was a coffee maker… but no coffee pods, no sugar, no creamers. Just four teabags and a box of instant decaf. A small selection for guests would have been a simple touch. Hospitality! ~ My personal favourite: There was graffiti on the windows. Strange, but true. ~ The bed wasn’t made. They just left the sheets out, and I had to make it myself. ~ There was no shelf in the bathroom… just the top of the toilet to place your toiletries. ~ The sink was ridiculously small and too close to the wall, making it impossible to wash my face without soaking myself. ~ There were no hooks. Nowhere to hang a jacket, towel or facecloth. ~ Only one wine glass. Wait… what??? And it was tiny. Come on, people. This is Bordeaux. ~ The wine opener was one of those flimsy plastic ones where you must drill it in and then heave the cork out with all your might. ~ No shelf or hanger in the shower for soap, shampoo, or conditioner. ~ No toilet paper holder. The TP just sat on the floor. Is that not odd? ~ The shower smelled rank. … and then I broke the key in the front door lock. F&@k… What was with this sudden wave of bad luck? I was horrified. It didn’t happen due to force at all. I just turned it… and it just softly broke, like fresh bread. There was no straining or snapping. Nothing. So… now my anxiety about using lockboxes has expanded to using keys, too. Great. The owners were not impressed. Of course, they weren’t. But... it wasn't my fault.

État du logement inacceptable, conditions d'hygiène préoccupantes et séjour interrompu

L'emplacement du logement est le seul point positif.

Première fois que je quitte un logement avant la fin du séjour. Et première fois que je laisse un avis aussi négatif. Dès mon arrivée, le logement n’était pas réellement prêt : à 16h, l’hôte était encore en train de faire le lit. J’ai ensuite constaté de nombreux problèmes de propreté et d’entretien : salle de bain sale, vaisselle et placards mal nettoyés, draps tachés, moisissures importantes sur le store de la cuisine, porte d’entrée endommagée, et j’en passe. Le plus préoccupant reste l’état particulièrement insalubre du matelas, découvert en retirant les draps le matin de mon départ anticipé (les photos parlent d'elles-mêmes). L’hôte a d’abord été réactif et a fait repasser quelqu’un pour le ménage, mais les problèmes de propreté persistaient (notamment les saletés dans la salle de bain). J’ai finalement quitté le logement après seulement deux nuits et dû trouver un autre hébergement. Surtout le niveau de dégradation du matelas me semble difficilement acceptable, d’autant plus que l’hôte était en train de préparer le lit à mon arrivée et avait donc nécessairement l’occasion de constater son état. À ce niveau, difficile de croire que le confort et l’hygiène des voyageurs soient une réelle priorité ici. Le plus regrettable est qu’une fois qu’il a été question de dédommagement, Booking m’a informée qu’aucun accord n’avait pu être trouvé avec l’hôte après mon signalement. J’ai également tenté de reprendre contact directement avec l’hôte par la suite pour trouver une solution à l’amiable, et j’ai été complètement ignorée. Je déconseille fortement ce logement, qui ne présente pas les conditions d’hygiène et d’entretien que l’on est en droit d’attendre d‘un hébergement sur Booking. Faites pas comme moi : regardez bien tous les avis et surtout les photos publiées par les voyageurs avant de (ne pas) réserver.

À FUIR ABSOLUMENT. Nous sommes arrivés dans un appartement dans un état tout simplement inadmissible. Tout était sale et fortement dégradé : murs abîmés, tête de lit noire de crasse, logement insalubre… L’état général était tel que nous n’avons même pas pu dormir dans l’appartement pendant la totalité du séjour. Nous avons pourtant payé l’intégralité du séjour pour un logement qui était tout simplement inhabitable dans ces conditions. Le propriétaire, malgré notre signalement, n’a proposé aucune solution ni aucun remboursement. C’est inadmissible de louer un logement dans un tel état et de laisser les clients sans aucune solution derrière. Nous avons clairement eu le sentiment d’avoir payé pour rien. Au vu de notre expérience, il ne devrait tout simplement pas être proposé sur une plateforme de location. Les bons commentaires sont sûrement de faux commentaires !
