Construction site next door

Central location, close to the Main Market and Wawel Castle.

We were not warned about the construction site next door. Builders started drilling at 6:30am. Either don't offer the flat on the weekdays until the construction is over or warn people in advance in your listing and lower the price. When contacted about the noise, I received a generic reply telling me where to leave the keys. The follow up message apologised but offered no solution, so not helpful at all. Compare the pillows visible in the photos advertised and my photo attached. Small, uncomfortable, thin. Two extremely thin single duvets on a double bed? It was not a good night sleep. Random things broken or not working: only 1 lightbulb worked out of 5 in the living room, kettle cover broken and comes off while you pour boiling water, WiFi extremely slow, someone logged into Netflix and changed the language to French, took half an hour to figure it out, no other TV channels so TV is useless if you don't have Netflix. Cherry on top: two soap dispensers, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. Both filled with plain water. No other toiletries supplied of any sort. Three towels provided for 2 guests, so only one of you can have the luxury of a separate towel for your face, the other one have to do with one for everything.

Not Worth it

The apartment was clean. The design wasn’t important to me, but it was decent. There was also consistent hot water.

The WiFi is practically unusable. It runs on a 4G router and speeds were extremely low, around 2 Mbps most of the time, occasionally reaching 10 Mbps at best. We where cold! Heating is controllable but not adequate. Amenities are minimal, just the basics (no shampoo or body wash). Even the toilet paper provided was extremely thin and poor quality. Each guest gets only one blanket. The bathroom is located right next to the head of the bed. Any use of the toilet is very loud and will almost certainly wake up anyone sleeping. The apartment is on the ground floor with a view directly onto an apartment and garbage, which makes the space feel quite closed in. The host was responsive in messages but not particularly helpful. We didn’t receive the check-in email (which is understandably not her fault), but instead of simply providing the address when asked, we were repeatedly told to “check the email.” After several calls, we finally received the check-in details. Unfortunately, the address differed from the one listed on Booking.com, which caused confusion. We spent about 10 minutes trying to access the wrong apartment. This happened even after I had sent a photo to confirm the apartment entrance. Overall, we were disappointed with the stay and would not recommend this apartment, given the price. Our group stayed in a nearby hotel offering better value, including proper heating, reliable WiFi, and at least a basic view.
