Great location for us for a couple of nights as we were visiting daughter/grandchildren nearby. Wallsend Metro 400m. Aldi just across the street for supplies and a host of shops, restaurants and pubs within a few hundred metres. Amazingly quiet apartment given its location just off the High Street. Comfy bed, good TV set up, excellent fridge and freezer. Were short of bath towels on arrival, host arranged to have these dropped off very quickly.
Bathroom could do with some TLC, a walk in shower would be better than clambering into a slippy bath/shower with no hand rails to hold while getting in......held onto window frame of window which thankfully was open/couldn't be locked. Water from shower cascades over the wooden window sill which was starting to deteriorate, Also no hooks for towels.
Didnt realise it was duplex style, with the bedroom located upstairs, but the bathroom/toilet downstairs
Could have done with a manual on how to work the electric heating radiators....got there in the end with the one behind the sofa....couldn't get the other one going.
Found the lockbox was a little stiff/difficult to open after code had ben entered

It was relatively cheap for the Great North Run weekend. Close to buses and the subway. Clean and confortable. Responses from the host were very quick and helpful.
It didb't bother us, but the far side of the bed is not east to access due to it beeing against the wall. It might be a struggle for someone with mobility issues.

A brilliant stop over visiting family
For the weekend. The entrance is from a back alley which looks a bit rough, however the la e it's self was comfortable and clean, plenty of food and drinks places around
The ba k alley entrance was a bit un nerving
