Nice welcome basket and stuff when we arrived. Loads of board games etc if you wanted them. Beds are nice and places was clean enough.
Location was amaziing, honestly couldnt of asked for a better location and the house was lovely.
Very misleading to say parking included. The "included" parking is 20 minutes walk and 1 mile away so not practical if you have more than a backpack of stuff. Which we did for our 4 night stay. We ended up paying £30 to park in a car park that was about 200m away (was at the top of the hill but that cant be helped in st ives). Feels very misleading to put free parking on the listing when its an unpractical distance away.
Also listing says "a garden with outdoor furniture and a private entrance" This is not the case. its a bench (seen in photos) which is just in a archway that it overlooked by and shared with maybe 5-6 other houses. Nothing private or private entry about it.
Main bedroom is a werid layout (understand its an old house so not much can be done about this) but where the bed is located it makes it very difficult to get in and out of the bed as the sloped ceiling is so low you have to crouch as your entering the bed.
Also was unimpressed by having to pay a £200 deposit, this might be standard practice for booking.com i am not sure but it was hidden in the small print along with extra charge for dogs, we didn't take one but to have dog friendly in the title then charge extra again hidden in the fine print seems misleading.
Honestly if the listing was more open about parking, the deposit, the "private" garden we probably still would of booked it and still enjoyed it. Just getting a message saying we owed a deposit and then arriving and realising the parking was so far away started the trip of negatively. If you had made it clear parking was 20-25 minute walk away we could of planned to pay for parking nearer. instead we were shocked and had a frantic time when arriving in St ives as we didnt know where to go.
