By European standards, this is a very good hotel, but compared with many hotels I stayed in Japan, it felt a little too minimalist for me. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Overall, accommodation in Aso can be difficult to find, so I would still choose this hotel again because of its excellent location.
The breakfast was not really to my taste, mainly because there was quite a lot of bread. I personally would have preferred a traditional Japanese breakfast or something simpler, like eggs.
