Unfortunately, this was one of the worst stays I've experienced. From the moment I arrived, I did not feel safe. Check-in was difficult because it was dark outside, there was little to no lighting, and I struggled to find the key. The property also had other people staying there, which made me feel uncomfortable and was not the experience I was expecting. The room itself was extremely cold, making it difficult to get comfortable. The bed creaked loudly even from simply sitting on it, making it feel old and unstable. Overall, I was unable to relax or feel at ease during my stay. I hope the host addresses these issues, especially improving the lighting at check-in, making guests aware if the property is shared, and improving the comfort and condition of the room. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

Had rented fit 9 days and left after 3

Location wasn’t bad and the place was clean

Uncomfortable bed. Spring frame with mattress that made a lot of noise if you moved. No clock, dresser, no sink other than in the bathroom. No table and chairs. Netflix on tv is in a foreign language.

Very beautiful property

The neighborhood was clean and very safe

1 / 10

Unclean, infested with pests, far from central D.C., and the host was unhelpful… an extremely disappointing stay.

Honestly, there was nothing I liked about this property. Our experience was overwhelmingly negative due to uncleanliness, the presence of pests, and a pervasive odor, all of which made the stay uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I cannot identify any aspect of the property that met even the most basic expectations.

Our experience at this property was deeply disappointing on almost every level. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the unit had not been properly cleaned or prepared for guests. The apartment was full of visible spiders, cobwebs, and other insects, which created an immediate sense of discomfort and concern for our health and safety. This was not just a minor issue, there were pest infestations in multiple areas, and the presence of these pests made the space feel uninhabitable. In addition to the pest problem, there was a strong and persistent cigarette odor throughout the property, despite it not being advertised as a smoking unit. The smell was overpowering and permeated all rooms, making it extremely unpleasant to spend time inside. This was particularly disappointing given that we specifically booked the property expecting a clean and fresh environment. The property’s cleanliness and maintenance were well below acceptable standards. We noticed general dirt, dust, and signs of neglect that should have been addressed prior to our arrival. The condition of the apartment did not match the listing photos or the host’s representations in any way. Another significant issue was the property’s location. It was much farther from central Washington D.C. and the main attractions than the listing suggested. This added unnecessary inconvenience and made it difficult to enjoy our visit, as we had to spend much more time and money traveling into the city than we had anticipated. What made matters worse was the host’s response to our concerns. When we raised these issues, including the pests and uncleanliness, the host’s reaction was to suggest they could address the problems after we had already checked in. This completely disregards their responsibility to provide a habitable and safe environment from the outset, as required under both their own agreement and D.C. law.

The neighborhood was clean and very safe

10 / 10Outstanding·Apr 2025

Comfortable, easy access, clean stay. Would definitely recommend to stay here, especially because it's in a good area too. With very good transport links, only a 10 minute walk away.
