Hostel DANEXAN APA

This hostel was a good base location in Nukus. Communication with manager/Atash was excellent before arrival and during our stay. He worked to solve an issue regarding our registration which we appreciated. The hostel offers free airport transfer which is a plus. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Ramziddin at reception and he quickly processed our registration. Breakfast was good with an extended time of 6am-12noon. WIFI worked well. Room was clean and serviced during our stay. A/C worked well and we were able to do a load of laundry for free. Although we don't know the names of all of the front desk staff, we were always greeted warmly and with helpful English. We took 2 trips through the hostel. The first was to Moynaq and the ship graveyard with Rakhman. He was not only an incredible kind and attentive host, as a history major, he has a deep commitment to sharing the history of the area which made the trip special for us. It's a long ride to Moynaq and his sense of humor as well as music choices made it all the more enjoyable. We could not have asked for a better host and guide and have many good memories of this day. Our second trip was a transfer tour from Nukus to Khiva. Again, it was a long day but seeing the 4 fortresses was enjoyable. We had a great experience in Nukus and appreciated the support of Rakhman and other staff who made it what it so.

It seems to be this way all over Uzbekistan but the beds were really hard.

We had a great stay, the whole staff is lovely and very helpful. Many services such as transfers are included. Our excursion to the Aral sea with Adish was great and we had a wonderful time!

Friendly and accommodating staff (thanks Atash) with some extra mile support, such as picking up from airport even though it was late, and helping me to get the shared taxi to Khiva. Bed was comfortable with pleasant surprises like a towel given. There is also an in house shop to buy water.

Unfortunately, cleanliness is the biggest issue with this place. The shower cubicle is full of hair and sticky to the touch. Please add more hooks in the shower cubicle for users to hang their clothes

Already reviewed. This was an extra night i booked
