We absolutely loved the location, close to the beach and lots of places to eat nearby.
Apx 1 hour before check in, we received a message that we would no longer to be able to stay, told to cancel and given 3 other locations to stay at. Then 1 hour later were then told to stop in and that everything actually would work out. When the original cancellation went through with Booking, I was blamed for cancelling and while attempting to come up with cash as the ONLY form of acceptable payment, was threatened to be kicked out. Please recognize the US is open different hours and talking to companies in the US to arrange cash payment takes time. We realized it was a Friday but literally cash was the only thing that was acceptable per owner. Highly suggest having alternative electronic payment available as not too many travelers have that amount of cash on their person. Also highly suggest taking time assess situation before completely overreacting and putting everyone in a panic not only for the moment but for the next day when it takes time to get payment and you are on vacation and have things already planned and previously paid for. It was such an awful stress ridden experience that could have been remedied much easier to accept electronic payment..

We had a fabulous stay at Manolia House
Manolis met us when we arrived and was incredibly welcoming and very helpful, giving us lots of useful information about things to do and great restaurant recommendations. We were treated like family which made the stay feel very special.
The apartment was excellent, very clean and a great location, with lots of character and history which Manolis is very proud to talk about.
The apartment was just on the edge of the old town, so a bit away from the main busy areas but an easy walk to nearby bars, cafes and restaurants, which was perfect.
With the windows open in the evening you could take in the vibrant local atmosphere, or if you wanted silence then that was possible by just closing the windows. We much preferred to enjoy the atmosphere with the windows open. In the evening the street along the harbour is closed to cars, creating a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the traditional tarvernas filled with people watching the sun set and enjoying Parikia at its best.
