Disappointing stay and unacceptable behaviour
Nothing much. Had a very worst experience.
We stayed at Calm and Cozy Apartments, Trivandrum, while attending a wedding. It was just my wife and me, and although the 1BHK apartment itself was average, the overall experience was very disappointing.
The apartment lacked basic amenities. Essentials like tissue paper were not provided, and when we asked, we were told it was “not an amenity.” Overall, no proper service was provided, and requests were handled with an unhelpful attitude.
Additionally, the property seems to have very strict rules, which were not clearly mentioned in the listing. These rules were enforced arbitrarily and made the stay extremely inconvenient, especially for guests visiting the city for family events.
The most disturbing part of our stay happened late at night. We had returned from a wedding-related event, and a few friends briefly came to our apartment to collect wedding items belonging to the bride. Security allowed them inside without any issue.
When I arrived shortly after, the security refused to let me enter, even though I was a registered guest. The manner in which the situation was handled was rude, disrespectful, and indirectly insulting towards my wife, making inappropriate assumptions simply because a few people were already inside.
Despite us demanding an apology, none was given. The owner initially supported the security staff before later realising the seriousness of the issue.
This experience was highly unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I would not recommend this property, especially for couples or families, due to poor guest handling, unclear rules, and lack of basic hospitality standards.
