The location is great if you want a place you can walk to local restaurants. The apartment is very well laid out, nice kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and and small combo washer/dryer (which was great for us as we could wash our clothes after 12 days of staying in hotels on our driving tour of Portugal). A small living room, couch, TV, nice large bathroom and a separate bedroom. The parking is a challenge but solvable, there is a paid public parking lot a 5 to 7 minute walk away--parking lot is small so there is a very good chance it will be full so you may have to try several times. It is a paid lot M-F 9am to 5pm (free after 5) Sat 9am to 2pm (free after 2) and it is free on Sundays. Other than that you have the paid parking spaces on the streets surrounding the area. There are restaurants right next to/underneath the apartment so you have the odors from the kitchen exhaust fans that fill the area. The apartment does not have AC, there are fans provided and you can open the windows to get air flow. We were there in the third week of October so very tolerable--but I imagine in the spring and summer it would be very hot and stuffy. The shower is great but the drain backs up so you have to be careful to avoid water backing up into the bathroom.
Better pillows and more towels.
